About The Game
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is an action-adventure hack and slash video game developed by PlatinumGames and published by Konami Digital Entertainment. It is a spin-off in the Metal Gear series, and follows the cyborg ninja, Raiden, in his struggle against a private military company known as Desperado Enterprises. The game takes place four years after the events of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. Raiden is now a cyborg ninja working for a private military company called Maverick Security Consulting, Inc., which is contracted to protect a Prime Minister from an unknown group of terrorists. In order to protect the Prime Minister, Raiden must battle his way through hordes of enemies using his high-frequency katana blade and other weapons. Raiden has access to various gadgets and abilities such as Blade Mode, which allows him to slow down time and precisely target enemy weak points for maximum damage. He can also use his Ninja Run ability to quickly traverse environments while avoiding obstacles. As he progresses through the game, Raiden will gain access to new weapons and upgrades that will help him in his fight against Desperado Enterprises. Players will be able to customize Raiden’s abilities with upgradeable weapons, armor pieces, and cybernetic enhancements that can be purchased with in-game currency or acquired from defeated enemies. The game also features an online leaderboard system where players can compare their scores with others around the world.
